C. Eva Thomson, MBA, ChFC

Founder

Eva's career in finance has spanned twenty-five years, and led to her founding Thomson Financial in 2002. Her job responsibilities are diverse, and have given her a rich understanding of finance from the varied perspectives of lenders, borrowers, investors and entrepreneurs. Prior to establishing Thomson Financial, her experience included CFO of MassVentures, a small venture capital fund, serving as a Director of a Massachusetts agency which issued tax exempt bonds for colleges and companies, as well as being the first woman director of the Bank of Western Massachusetts.

Eva has decades of experience working with entrepreneurs, writers and artists, business owners and leaders, helping them to address their personal financial goals. Knowing that affluent individuals benefit greatly from clear financial planning combined with independent investment management, in 2002 she founded Thomson Financial. Eva and the team of financial consultants at Thomson Financial spend much of their time listening to clients, understanding their personal goals then designing realistic financial strategies to help them live the lives they desire.

Eva holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Honors College at the University of Massachusetts. In 1980 she received her MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. She holds several professional licenses including Series 7, 24 and 66 held through First Allied Securities. Eva is also a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Eva knows that it takes a village contributing in various ways to build a strong, vibrant community. Among many boards she has served on are the Board of the Bank of Western Massachusetts, the Advisory Board at the Isenberg School of Management, and the Board of Tribunes and Treasurer at WGBY and most recently as Treasurer of NEPR/WFCR.
